Along the way, something subtle slipped through the cracks. The everyday wisdom once handed down in kitchens and gardens.
Some mothers will be on the plane. All of them will be in the room.
The Journey
Arrive
Days 1–3Mountains. Cool air. The sound of the jungle at night.
These first days hold orientation, first circle, shared meals. The gradual work of settling into a new place and new company.
The jungle does not rush.
Neither do we.
Remember
Days 4–6Stories begin to surface. Ones you didn't know you were going to tell.
A grandmother's silence. Something your mother said once that you never forgot. A dawn ceremony for those who feel called, sitting with the plant teachers in the early light.

Days 7–13What was inherited is examined. What was broken is held. What was never said finds its way to language.
A closing rite of passage. Altar-making. The final circle. Departure into a different kind of knowing.

What to Bring
Northern Thailand in December is cool in the mountains and warm in the valleys. Bring layers, comfortable natural fabrics, and the few things that help you feel at ease when the land is doing most of the work.
